  • From Asheville NC: Take I-240 or I-26 into Asheville to US 19/23/26, then take exit 19A( US 25/70 direction Marshall) to Hot Springs. When entering Hot Springs, turn right down River Road just before reaching the bridge over the French Broad River. Go 2 miles, look for the River Lodge Log Cabin sign on the right. The cabins have green roofs.
  • From Newport TN: Take US 25/70 into Hot Springs. At the stop sign, turn left, cross the railroad tracks, then cross the French Broad River Bridge and turn left down River Road. Go 2 miles, look for the River Lodge Log Cabin sign on the right. The cabins have green roofs.
  • From Waynesville NC: Take exit 24 (NC Hwy. 209) from I-40. The sign will say Hot Springs (Or take exit 104 from US 19/23/74 to NC 209 North) 8 miles north of I-40 you will bear right at Ferguson’s General Store to stay on Hwy. 209 North. Enjoy scenic Hwy. 209 for 28 miles as it takes you over Betsy’s Gap and then through the Flats of Spring Creek, and drops on down to Hot Springs. When entering Hot Springs, go across the railroad tracks, then cross the French Broad River Bridge and turn left down River Road. Go 2 miles, look for the River Lodge Log Cabin sign on the right. The cabins have green roofs.

THE BEAR
The Bear is located at 1640 River Road, Hot Springs, NC 28743. 

  • From Asheville NC: Take I-240 or I-26 into Asheville to US 19/23/26, then take exit 19A( US 25/70 direction Marshall) to Hot Springs. When entering Hot Springs, turn right down River Road just before reaching the bridge over the French Broad River. Go 1.6 miles down River Rd. The driveway to the cabin is the first one on the right past French Broad Circle. Look for the rail fence in the yard at the road. The house number is at the road.
